The Next 5 Years

Hello you lovely bunch!

I’m working on something different for my next post so stay tuned! But…

Today I want to talk about the next 5 years, my plans and my goals.

After a 4 and a half hour car journey, myself and Elliott took to talking about our future. What we have planned and what we want to do. Of course we want to buy a house, start a family etc. But, something I often forget is, we are only 23. We have our whole lives to worry about that. Ideally by 30 we definitely want that to be the case however for now, our focus is us. After all we deserve it right? I spent 3 years getting my degree whilst he spent 2 in the Royal Navy growing as a person. We deserve to focus on us. So we will. Over the next few years we plan on visiting all of the places we want to go. Australia, Canada, Europe, Florida, to name a few.

It’s time we put our happiness first and lived.

After this time, I’ll *touch wood* be a qualified teacher and Elliott will have gained a lot of experience in his job and be in a stable position where we can focus on starting our life together in our own home and making adorable babies šŸ™ŠšŸ˜

Do you have a 5 year plan? If so, what is it? I’d love to know what everyone else’s plans are!

  1. My partner and I ran an adventure group for 12 years and I love your sentiment ‘Collect moments, not things’. We used to say to any potential members that they’re likely to remember driving a tank, flying a plane or sailing in a yacht race would be more memorable than that ‘must have’ handbag or pair of shoes. Or at least I hope so!

    1. Iā€™d like to think so! I have to say, a school trip I went on to the Lake District taught me so much more, created more memories and shaped me as a person way more than any item of clothing or accessory that I own!
